About
About Wheel of Stuff
Wheel of Stuff is a free spinning wheel for making decisions and picking winners. Paste a list of names — one per line — and the wheel turns it into an evenly divided disc. Press spin and it lands on one entry at random, with the winner shown front and centre. Take that winner off and spin again, so a class list, a squad or a raffle works its way down to a single name. Alongside the wheel you get ready-made example wheels to open in one click, shareable name polls so other people can add their own entries from their phones, and a live room where everyone watches the same spin happen in real time.
It is built for anyone who has to choose fairly and in view of other people: teachers picking a student to answer, coaches and club organisers running draws, hosts and streamers giving away prizes, teams splitting up chores, families settling where to eat. Because everything runs in the browser, it works just as well on a classroom laptop, a phone at a birthday party, or a projector at a live event — nothing to install, nothing to sign up for.
Who builds it
Wheel of Stuff is an independent project. There is no large software company behind it — the site is designed, built and maintained by the small team that runs it, and every suggestion and bug report sent through the contact page is read by the people who write the code, then worked into the next round of improvements.
What it costs
The wheel itself, the example wheels and your saved lists are free, and they stay free. Extra colour themes, name polls, saved lists and wheel settings sit behind a single one-time unlock, which is what keeps the lights on without cluttering the spinner with advertising.
How your lists are treated
There is no account to create. Names, themes and settings are saved in your own browser, on your own device, so a list you type here is not published anywhere. The one exception is a name poll you deliberately share: the names people submit through that link are stored so the wheel can gather them up for you, and nothing else about them is collected.
